چکیده

Wound infections are one of the most common hospital acquired and an important cause morbidity account for 70-80% mortality. The Purpose current study was to determine commonest bacteria associated with wound at Hayatabad Medical Complex Peshawar January 2019 June 2020. A total 100 culture positive samples from patients mean age 6.2+0.25 were analyzed. Patient history clinical findings collected on a pre-coded form. Pus or swabs infected wounds analyzed through culturing biochemical methods aerobic bacteria. 109 isolated almost same frequency Gram cocci 54(49.54%) negative bacilli 55(50.45%). Most frequently organism S. aureus 45(41.28%) followed by Pseudomonas species 20(18.35%).From this we conclude that infection remains ongoing problem which, although, cannot be completely eradicated, however taking prompt control measures against commonly proper care may lead minimum infection.
